Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Chocolate crinkle cookies are a classic cookies recipe for Christmas holidays.

Easy to make and full of chocolate are simply delicious!

 

Serves: 40 – 42

 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all propose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups good quality powdered sugar (for coating the chocolate crinkle cookies)

Method

  • In a bowl combine together the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt – set aside
  • Beat on, in another bowl, the vegetable oil with sugar (medium to high speed for 1-2 minutes)
  • Add in the eggs  (one at a time) beating on until combined
  • Add in the vanilla extract beating on until combined
  • Add the flour mixture beating on until combined
  • Form the dough into a  ball and wrap it tightly in a plastic wrap
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or up to 24 hours)

How to Bake the Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

 

Preheat the oven to 350 F ( 180 C )

Unwrap the dough

Scoop the powdered sugar into a small bowl

Roll the dough into small balls (1 inch each) and dip each ball in the powdered sugar until is completely covered ( needs a lot of powdered sugar)

Place the dough balls on the baking sheet and bake for 10-11 minutes

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes
