Simple Breakfast ideas For Kids

Read below simple breakfast ideas for kids – Breakfast is a very important meal – it can either make or break your day.

We all know that a good breakfast is essential to start our day and that it should include foods from almost all food groups like milk, cereals, fruits, eggs, olive oil, and butter.

Children need to get, in the right proportions, all the nutrients to be healthy, to grow, and have energy in order to play, and run, but also to have a clear mind, quick thinking, and perception.

But what makes each meal special and delicious?

The quality of the ingredients and the combinations of flavors.

The quality of the materials

We choose pure raw materials: fresh seasonal fruits, natural juices without sugar and other sweeteners, fresh cow’s or goat’s milk, good quality cheese rich in calcium, and yogurt.

Also whole grains biscuits and cereals without sugar and other additives, extra virgin olive oil, and pure butter from 100% cow’s milk without impurities and additional ingredients.

Combinations and variety

Have you noticed how much children like to feel responsible and choose for themselves? That is why it is important to give children ideas and let them choose their breakfast or even better to get them involved in its preparation.

It’s a good idea to do a “breakfast plan” with them. At some point when you all have the time and mood, you will prepare the breakfast of the week.

The “breakfast plan” works for two main reasons: because breakfast becomes a topic of discussion and children can choose for themselves, and because it saves you from the stress of breakfast preparation and negotiations “I do not want that, I want the other”.

As the weeks go by and you make your breakfast schedule, you will also see the children’s preferences and adjust the schedule according to what they like best. After all, food is a pleasure, isn’t it?

Below you will find ideas for a healthy and at the same time nutritious breakfast.

Saturday and Sunday are usually days when we enjoy free breakfast, out of the ordinary. So why not try making healthier pancakes or thinner crepes in this simple way?

Mix in a bowl and whisk a glass of milk, a glass of flour, 1 egg, and 1 tbsp. olive oil

Heat a little butter in a non-stick pan, pour a large spoonful of the mixture into the pan, spread it with the back of the spoon carefully so that it becomes as thin as you wish, and with a spatula turn it over to cook on the other side. Remove from the pan and continue repeating the same process.

You can serve the pancakes with honey and fresh fruits or, you can add a piece of chocolate before removing them from the heat and melt or put a slice of cheese if you want them salty.
