What is the Ideal Breakfast for Good Health?

Home » Blog » What is the Ideal Breakfast for Good Health?

I assume you know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it gives our body the energy it needs. But do you know what is the ideal breakfast for good health and wellness?

Everyone, of course, has their own preferences. Many celebrities start their day with a green smoothie, influencers choose avocado toast, while most of us choose an omelet, toasted bread with honey or cereals with milk. Which is the best option?

According to Harvard‘s Professor Walter Willett, former head of the  Nutrition Department, the ideal breakfast is yogurt with nuts.

He said he is not a fan of orange juice or standard cereals, and never eats sweet snacks such as croissants and donuts, as consuming them is useless for the body.

His favorite breakfast, on the other hand, fills the body with rich nutrients such as fiber, protein, and good fats. In addition, the metabolism is regulated, thanks to the probiotics contained in yogurt,

According to Professor Willett, if we want to have better health, we should increase the consumption of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and legumes and reduce the consumption of red meat and sugar.

He also considers it is important to add fiber-rich foods, such as oats, to our diet, as they give us energy, reduce the risk of liver cancer, type 2 diabetes, and obesity.

So, choose yogurt with nuts ( I will add some berries too) for your breakfast to be strong, healthy and full of energy the rest of the day
